I LOVE shooting outside and on location, especially at the beach, around old cars and buildings with lots of colour and character.
My favourite time to take your portraits is during the evening in the beautiful golden light.
What to Wear?
Clothing is so important in your photographs. Please take the time to really plan out your clothing choices. I am more than happy to
go over this with you and even come and help you choose your outfits. We will go over this in detail in your pre-session consultation.
I suggest wearing layers to add interest and texture, such as chunky knit sweaters, scarves and clothing with embroidery and details.
Feel free to bring a couple of clothing changes to your session; if your child(ren) are up for it they can change a few times.
I really love accessories in photos. Hats, scarves, fun necklaces, funky boots, leggings, tights and leg warmers can really make
your photos amazing. Anything that captures your style and personality is perfect!
Also, choosing clothing for a family session can be very stressful (believe me, i go through it every year for my family of 6).
Try picking a few colours and keeping that theme for the entire family. Denim is always a good choice and you can pair that with
a couple of co-ordinating colours. You don’t want to match too much, so try and keep each person unique, but within the
chosen colour scheme. For inspiration please check out my pinterest page. I have lots of great ideas pinned on there.
Important! Bring chapstick! Chapped lips are difficult to fix in Photoshop.
