I just returned from an amazing trip with my family. Our family along with my husband’s brother and his family, and one other family returned to our gold claim in Northern BC for our annual family camping trip.

We travel 12 hours to get there, but it is well worth the drive. Once we get there we have no cell phone contact and no electronics for two weeks. It is glorious!!

We live in a wall tent, shower outside and do everything together as a family. It helps to ground us and remember what is truly important in our lives.

It may not be for everybody, but you should try it. I believe it is the single best thing we do for our family. We quad and swim in a glacier fed lake, and also cook all

our meals outside. This year we met many new new friends in a nearby community and saw that life can be simpler. I will post more photos later.

One day, during a quad trip I did a quick, impromptu photo session of my niece. It was not planned, we just  picked some wildflowers and had some fun.
